The below policy would replace existing bad policy in order to better deal with the problems in the current Firearms Act and Regulations. The CPC recognizes that gun control hasn’t prevented criminal activity, and instead affected Canadians’ ability to own and enjoy the use of their personal firearms. "The Party will review the Firearms Act and Regulations with the goal of removing non-victim, non-violent administrative and property ownership offences from the Criminal Code. The affected public has been highly critical of the current legal framework regarding firearms."
